Spark your child’s imagination with this free hour-long workshop designed for kids ages 6-12 with a presentation and then hands-on related activity!This month features Ashely Rugge, an oil painter, songwriter, and writer based at The Reno Generator. Her art encompasses a broad spectrum of influences, mainly pulling from ancient Cave Art. In her workshop, children will participate in the process of grinding minerals into paints. A plant-based medium will be used to bind the pigments. Students will watch a demonstration of this process, then use pre-mixed paints to create their own work of art to keep.
