Our Spark Social sessions spark joy and create opportunities to build connection. New to the area? Feeling lonely or isolated? Love meeting people? You can be sure you'll be warmly welcomed by our Sparkies who host the activities. We heard from our community that many people love nature, birdlife, mindfulness and our beautiful Hills environment. Forest bathing is a practice of being calm and quiet in the presence of trees and your natural surroundings. Studies show that this mindfulness practice reduces stress hormones, lowers blood pressure and can increase immunity.
So we'd love you to join Sparkies Michele and Hayley to soak up the scientifically proven benefits of being surrounded by nature. Weβll share the joy of connecting mindfully with the beautiful surroundings and each other!
Meet Michele and Hayley at the Mabel St entrance to Woorabinda Bushland Reserve - they will be wearing their yellow Sparkie badge.
There's no need to book, itβs free, you can just turn up or you can let Hayley know that you're coming along!
You may like to bring a journal or notebook along for this Spark Social session if you'd like to do some reflection.
Any questions? Connect with Hayley Spark Community Coordinator on 8339 4400 or [email protected]
Keep an eye on our social media in case we need to cancel due to the weather.
