SPARK : An Art-Science Collaborative Program : Match-making event

We are excited to announce the collaborative art-science program SPARK – developed together with the Globe Institute at University of Copenhagen, starting with a match-making event on 16 January 2026!
The SPARK initiative aims to foster meaningful exchanges between artistic and scientific practices, encouraging joint exploration of the big questions that shape our understanding of life, health, and the environment.
To kick-off the program Art Hub Copenhagen and the Globe Institute at University of Copenhagen invites interested artists and scientist to a match-making event aimed at encouraging artists and scientists to team up in pairs and develop a common project and submit it for jury evaluation early March. 5-6 projects will be selected to receive support.

The event will be in the format of relaxed professional gathering where artists can meet scientists from the Globe Institute and get to know their research. No presentations, just knowledge exchanges to spark curiosity and collaboration.
Jacob Lillemose from Art Hub Copenhagen and Associate professor Tue Hassenkam from the Globe Institute will introduce the program and facilitate the discussions.

The Globe Institute is part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. The Institute’s main purpose is to address basic scientific questions through interdisciplinary approaches.
