What is the SPARC Championship Series?
SPARC is an acronym for Southeastern PA RC and it is an Indoor Carpet race series to find out who's the carpet champ in our region.
The three tracks selected for this exclusive race series all reside within the southeastern region of Pennsylvania hence the name.
There are 3 races in the series with 1 drop. Tie breaker will be the racers best drop. If still in a tie we'll do a 2 lap race-off at the Finale race. If either racer in a deadlocked tie isn't at the Finale Race for the race-off they automatically forfeit.
The SPARC Championship Series is presented by our Title Sponsor RC Raceworx whom has been selling great RC Products since 2017.
We will have Professional Live Streaming by Toby Hamson of 46RC and some amazing high energy race announcing by Alex Schultz.
Track rules for The Factory RC Raceway:
⚜️ All Lipos must be charged inside a lipo safe bag.
⚜️ No battery heating devices are allowed on premises.
⚜️ Chassis Protectors are required and must be covering all screws underneath the vehicle.
⚜️ The only Traction compound allowed is SXT 3.0 or any Sticky Kicks RC.
➕ You may clean your tires using simple green or quick drying electronic cleaner.
➕ Tires must be completely dry before hitting the track.

⚜️ Exhibition Classes will run both rounds of qualifiers and mains however no awards are given for these classes. Discounted entry fee.
⚜️⚜️ Add-on classes will only run in the mains and will use the corresponding classes qualifier for seeding. No awards are given for these classes. Discounted entry fee.
Any exhibition or add-on classes that want to race at these events must have at least 5 entries. Refunds will be given if we don't have enough to add the class to the program.

🛟 Two rounds of 5 minute Rocket Round style qualifying

Race Awards
🏆 Top 3 A-main finishers and TQ of above Awards Classes will receive custom SPARC Championship Race Medallions which are made to fit on the Series Championship Awards.
🏁 Hot Lap Champions of the following will be awarded with a custom SPARC miniature championship belt.

⚜️ Hot Lap must be made during a qualifier or main (not practice)
⛽ Furthest Traveled Award will be given out during the drivers meeting of each race to the racer who traveled the furthest from home to get to the race and will include a $25 Sheetz Gift Card courtesy of Dog Days RC
🎟️ Winners Circle Awards sponsored by Bastion RC will be given to the 1st place A-main finisher in each of the Awards classes which consists of a Non-transferable Free Race entry for the class they won to the next race.
Series Awards
🏁 The 1st place finisher in the points series will receive a custom SPARC Championship Belt that they can attached their Race and TQ Medallions to the side plates.
🏁 The 2nd & 3rd place finishers in the points series will receive custom SPARC plaques that they can attached their Race and TQ Medallions.
⚜️ The series award will be given out at the Finale in Richfield.
Race Day Schedule:
➢ 7:00am Doors open
➢ 7:00am – 9:30am Track Open / Controlled Practice
o Timed 5-minute practice sessions.
o Racers are expected to marshal after their practice session.
➢ 9:30 Track closes / Registration closed
➢ 9:40 Drivers Meeting
➢ 9:55 National Anthem
➢ 10:00 Qualifier Round 1 begins
Heat Sheets & Marshalling
➢ Heat sheets will be posted on the wall in the hallway leading to the main pit area, on the drivers stand, as well as online at https://dogdaysrc.liverc.com/results/?p=view_event&id=454392
➢ Pay attention to what number you are on the heat sheets
⚜️ You will be lining up to get on the drivers stand in this order on the staging dots.
Marshalling Duties
⚜️ There will only be 45 seconds between heats.
➢ Drop your vehicles on the table or shelves and head right out to marshal.
⚜️ If you are back-to-back. Come prepared and make sure you bring all vehicles up to quickly switch over.
➢ Ask someone to cover your marshal duties. Don’t force the announcer to beg for marshals.
⚜️ Anyone not out to marshal before the tone starts will be docked a lap from their best qualifier of the day.
Practice between rounds
⏲️ Incentive to marshal quickly. If done with Round 1 by _______ we’ll open for practice
➢ Two 5 min sessions
➢ Track Maintenance
⏲️ We’ll calculate a timetable after each round and announce it. It’s up to you if you want to have practice.
Racer Etiquette
🚫 Rough Driving – will be issues Stop & Go. If you don’t stop then you’ll have a lap docked.
🚫 Absolutely no yelling or cursing at marshals or other drivers. Anyone found doing this will be immediately docked a lap. Second offense and you’ll be asked to leave.
🚫 No track cutting. Go back to where you crossed the lane barrier.
🚫 When a faster vehicle comes up on your in qualifying go wide in the next turn and let them get around. Don't race them to the next corner. You're racing the clock, not each other.
Tech Inspection
🔎 All classes will go through tech in round 1
✅ All classes must have Chassis Protectors
✅ No sharp edges or exposed screws
🔎 Stock classes will go through tech all qualifiers and mains
✅ This consists of 21.5t, 17.5t 13.5t classes and Box Stock Slash
🔎 Checking updated ROAR minimum weights, battery voltage (8.44), roar approved motor/esc
✅ Test Equipment will be out on the tech table to check throughout the day
✅ Double check before coming up to be officially tech'd
🔎 Get your vehicles tech'd the heat before your race.
✅ Bring them up with the body, batteries strapped in, radio on, ready to be plugged in.
✅ Make sure your radio is on the correct model, we may ask you to blip the throttle.
✅ Your vehicles stay in staging until placed on the track to race.
🔎 Failure to go through tech will result in your qualifier being thrown out.
