Scunthorpe United will travel to face Spalding United for a place in the Lincolnshire Senior Cup Final on Tuesday, February 4th (7.45pm kick-off).In a repeat of last year's final, the Iron will face off against former manager Jimmy Dean's new side for a place in the final of the competition, which was lifted by now-manager Andy Butler last season after Scunthorpe came from 2-0 down to beat the Tulips 3-2.
As the highest ranked side remaining in the competition, the Iron were guaranteed an away side irrespective of the order in which the balls were drawn, with the Lincolnshire FA hosting the draw at 5.30pm on Thursday evening.
Scunthorpe progressed to the semi-finals of the competition after seeing off Grimsby Town on Tuesday afternoon, coming from a goal down to beat the Mariners 3-1 courtesy of a brace from Carlton Ubaezuonu and a first goal for Luke Williams since returning to the club.
Meanwhile, Spalding progressed to this stage of the competition after beating Grantham Town 2-0 on their travels back in July.
As soon as we have ticketing details for the match, we will announce.
