En Salamanca se celebra la "Noche Vieja Universitaria", la cual toma parte a mediados de diciembre.
Esta noche vieja universitaria es hecha por y para los estudiantes de la famosa Universidad de Salamanca que no podrán celebrar la fiesta de fin de año con sus amigos debido a que lo celebrarán con sus familiares.
Los estudiantes lo celebran como si fuera la fiesta real de fin de año y hacen todas las tradiciones usuales, incluyendo comer las 12 uvas!
