Katie’s Breast Cancer Story
In June of 2024 Katie went in for a routine annual appointment and mentioned a lump she had felt on her breast. Her OB did an initial check, didn’t think it would be anything but referred her to get it checked out - just to be sure. In August, after her follow-up mammogram she received a phone call, and at the age of 45, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
With one operation down and weeks of radiation plus years of anti-hormone therapy still ahead—Katie is out of work until at least mid-January.
