Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Sophia Bowling
Sophia is a sophomore at the University of Indianapolis studying elementary education. The oldest of five siblings, she has a passion for working with young children. She started babysitting when she was 12 years old and continues to spend time helping to care for children from our church and neighborhood. She currently works part time at DayStar Childcare and hopes to one day teach at our neighborhood elementary school. She loves helping children realize their potential and providing compassionate care as a positive role model, especially to those who may face significant adversity in their lives.
Sophia has the opportunity to study abroad at Maynooth University in Maynooth, Ireland this coming fall 2024 semester. She will gain valuable student teaching experience in an Irish elementary school and participate in many learning opportunities that will help shape the teacher she will be.
Sophia is fortunate to have academic and university scholarships that pay the majority of her tuition costs each year. However, as a student living off campus, paying the large additional funds for living on campus while in Ireland will be an out-of-pocket cost for her. Funds raised from tickets sold will be used to help pay for Sophia's room and board and travel expenses for this amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity. Any funds raised over what is needed will be donated to the Englewood Christian Church Pantry Fund.

Tickets will be $12 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets can be purchased ahead of the event electronically via Venmo, Paypal, CashApp, or Zelle. Tickets may also be purchased at the door, but please RSVP to Kendra at [email protected] to reserve your spot!
