Valerie (MacFarlane) and Tim McHatten have been at the IWK since early September as Valerie has been put on strict bedrest. She is at very high risk of preterm labour. She will be tehre until she gives birth. Her due date is December 27.Baby Levi also has a heart condition and omphalcele (where some of his organs are protruding out of his belly) both of which will require surgery on his tiny body soon after birth. Levi will then be in the NICU for weeks to months after that.
Valerie and Tim are both out of work at this time and for the forseeable future as they are out of province at the IWK. However, their bills and expenses have not stopped. To ease this burden for them, we are having our annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser for their benefit.
Admission is by donation at the door. There will also be an auction.
