Update: Darren has completed radiation and his next appointment will be in St. Louis. It was originally scheduled for July 3rd but moved to July 10th. Please continue to pray that these scans look good and that the remaining tumor shrunk. Also pray that he will be accepted into the clinical trail that is based out of STL. God has a plan and we fully trust that His plan is good.Darren was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor in March. He underwent surgery at University of MO-Columbia to have the tumor removed and they were able to remove most of the tumor but he is currently doing radiation treatments. We have hopes that he will be accepted into a clinical trial at Siteman, St. Louis after radiation but are still waiting on official word.
Darren and his wife, Christa have three beautiful daughters. Darren has always been a hard worker but due to the nature of this horrific disease and the type of job (truck driver) he is unable to return to work, at least anytime in the near future. That is where we as family and friends have stepped in to help. We want to help them with medical bills, financial burdens and just loving them as we are all called to do.
We are hosting a benefit dinner and silent auction.
