About this Event
The stories we tell about space shape how we imagine it, how we reach for it, and how we choose to use it. From myths of the heavens to science fiction futures, storytelling guides humanity’s sense of possibility and responsibility beyond Earth. This event invites reflection on how narratives influence not only our cultural imagination, but also the choices we make in employing space for the sake of humanity.
Join a panel of leading thinkers, including Professor Juan Francisco Salazar Sutil from Western Sydney University, Simon Foster, Director of the Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival and Karlie Noon, co-author of the award-winning book Astronomy: Sky Country. Together, we’ll explore how the power of storytelling shapes our collective approach to activities in orbit and beyond.
