About this Event
Welcome to the Space For God Retreat 2024! We are a group of men committed to growing personally and helping others grow in relationship to God through the ongoing ministry of Christ through His Spirit. This year marks the 18th anniversary of SFG-dudes coming together for fun, fellowship, worship, sharing, and teaching.
The Mountain Springs Lodge facility is the perfect spot to get away, experience both community and solitude as we reflect on how God moves in and amongst our world and how we can grow deeper in relationship with Him.
What to Expect
The retreat is built around extended times of Fellowship, Teaching, Worship and Solitude. Our leaders will lead us through worship and the Word, small group discussion and fellowship time. You will have a solid 4-5 hour time in the middle of the retreat to get alone with God and ask Him to speak truth to you. We encourage you to come willing to be honest with yourself and with God. Some men come with deep hurt that needs attention, some come with great praise that needs to come forth. But come, expecting to meet with other men who, like you, need the voice and presence of God to reign in and over you.
Bring some warm clothes, something to jot down your thoughts, a Bible if you've got one. We'll feed you (Lot's) and you'll have wonderful accomodations to make you comfortable. But plan to get stirred by the truth that you are profoundly loved by a God who is neither disappointed in or distant from you.
Meet The Speaker - Chris Gough
Chris is a Seattle native who worked in pastoral ministry in North Seattle for a decade and then with Seattle's Union Gospel Mission (SUGM) for his second decade of work. At SUGM he started working with and developing city networks throughout the greater Seattle area, and was a part of creating local church school partnerships, a foster care network, and a homelessness coalition. Now at Saturate the Sound, Chris continues to pursue a calling to see every city in the Cascadia region have a collaborative thriving gospel network! He also wears a city network role with the Palau Association where he helps networks across the US raise the temperature of Evangelism. Chris just celebrated 20 years of marriage to his wife Rebekah and has four great kids.
