HELP SCIENCE CENTRAL CELEBRATE SPACE DAY OCTOBER 4TH!The Fort Wayne Radio Club is planning a special event operation at Science Central in Fort Wayne on Space Day, October 4th! Look for details to come as we work toward demonstrating the capabilities of Amateur Radio not only for space communications, but also as a building block to a STEM education! We will need many operators and helpers to set up at the Science Central location on Clinton Street.
Our hope is to be able to communicate with the sister museum to Science Central which is Science North in Sudbury, Ontario. There are Echolink nodes and a club in Sudbury which we are trying to contact.
Special thanks goes to Joseph Lawrence, K9RFZ, for bringing this opportunity to us and continuing to help with the organization!
Stay tuned for more details as we work them out!
We are going to use our local ECHOLINK node to allow young people at Science Central to talk with youth at Science North, so we request that all other use of the node be suspended until the event is over with. Thank you!
