About this Event
Join an amazing team for a delicious evening of delectable science, no experience required! Dr Alfredo Carpineti, also known as the Astroholic, will lead an astro-inspired mixology workshop. What does a nebula taste like in liquid form? What cocktail could we make with ingredients found on Mars? These and other cosmic cocktail secrets will be revealed through hands-on demonstrations and tastings. Each guest will enjoy four mini cocktails, with mocktails alternatives available.
To accompany our space cocktails, fabulous fermenter Niamh Hegerty will lead the culinary segment of the workshop through a tour of tasty space hors d'oeuvres and comestibles based in space science. Guests will explore the first fermentation in space: the creation of miso paste on the ISS. Learn about the science of fermentation and get hands on, combining science and creativity through food experimentation.
