We came from exploding starts that died billions of years ago. We’ve learned how gold was made. But we don’t know yet what made the stars; could it be 'dark matter'? And what planted the seeds for everything in the cosmos?

Space Cafe Tokyo is excited to welcome a special guest, world-renowned physicist and science communicator Hitoshi Murayama (UC Berkeley / Kavli IPMU U. Tokyo). He was born in Japan, grew up in Germany, and lives in the US. He received Ph.D. at the University of Tokyo, and now a professor at the University of California Berkeley. He is the founding director and professor of the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe at the University of Tokyo. He never managed to grow out of childlike curiosity asking stupid questions.
