We all deserve a little peace and relaxation during the week! Cookie decorating can be a fun, creative outlet that also helps you relax and focus on something other than the craziness of life. The idea of a much-deserved spa day inspired this workshop. Treat yourself, your Mom, a good friend or someone special to an evening of cookie decorating in a relaxed, friendly environment.
No experience is required and all supplies are provided! We will guide you step-by-step through the decorating process and use a variety of royal icing consistencies and decorating tools, practice piping techniques to decorate six cookies together. We will explore flooding, piping, wet-on-wet methods, and ways to use royal icing transfers to add dimension and texture to our cookies. We encourage you to bring your creative spirit and your favorite apron (in case of any icing mishaps). Feel free to bring a snack and any non-alcoholic beverage of choice to enjoy during the workshop.
Just for fun, we will have a photo staging area for you to take social media worthy photos of your edible art before you leave! For those of you wondering, the cookies we make will stay fresh until Mother's Day and would make a wonderful gift for Mom!
FAQ: Is this workshop suitable for children? We have found that most kiddos 8 years old and up are able to follow instructions and keep pace with the class.
