Op 29 Augustus verschijnt hun nieuwe album โNIHTโ, waarin de nacht, de maan en de cyclus van leven en dood centraal staan, en persoonlijke ervaringen en mythologische themaโs samenkomen. Voor liefhebbers van Wardruna, Heilung en Danheim is dit een uitgelezen kans om Sowulo live te zien in Patronaat op zaterdag 22 november!
De songteksten zijn veelal conceptueel, verwijzend naar archetypische en animistische themaโs en de cyclische aard van het bestaan. Het project werd in 2012 opgericht door multi-instrumentalist en songwriter Faber Horbach, die destijds al enkele jaren werkte aan het concept. De naam van de band is afgeleid van de Germaanse rune voor โzonโ en staat symbool voor de cyclische aard van het bestaan, een thema dat centraal staat in al hun werk.

Heavy folk band Sowulo creates a powerful and recognizable sound with both modern and medieval instruments, deeply rooted in ancient Norse folk traditions.
