About this Event
A 3-in-1 GGC Program!

1. Donate.

As a grassroots initiative, GGC cannot fulfill its goal of being a dynamic resource for the community without philanthropic investments from individuals, businesses and foundations.

You can help by supporting Sow the Seeds for GGC -- giving what you can during online registration, or by making a donation in lieu of attendance.

Every dollar counts!

2. Celebrate in Community.

From Noon to 1:00 pm at Broad Street Presbyterian Church (one off GGC's six garden sites), enjoy food, music, and a keynote address before the service portion of the program.

3. Walk & Serve.

Departing Broad Street Presbyterian Church promptly at 1:00 pm, join a walking tour after the lunch and keynote that will include brief stopping points at select GGC gardens and litter removal en route.

Who We Are

The Growing and Growth Collective (GGC) is a grassroots initiative that encourages participation in urban agriculture as a means of improving health outcomes, deepening civic engagement, and promoting economic empowerment especially for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) across ages and generations on the Near East Side (NES), along side allies.

Although GGC manages six greenspaces and community gardens that include 70+ raised beds for the cultivation of fresh produce, and also, while GGC often spearheads the coordination of social events, youth programs, and educational symposia -- none of these efforts are delivered in a solitary fashion.

All of GGC's work entails collaborations with NES neighbors, generous individuals and families, and committed philanthropic institutions.

Impact Pillars:

  • Agricultural Education in Cities
  • Food Access & Affordability
  • Comprehensive Health & Wellness
  • Equitable Community Development

GGC is an initiative of Partners Achieving Community Transformation/PACT (eastpact.org).
