Hello all! My grandmother Shirlee Boitnott is the co chair for volunteers for an event here in Butte in August. On August 28th through September 1st Butte will be hosting The Wall That Heals. What an honor? The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., that honors the men and women who gave their lives in Vietnam or later died as a result of their service. This traveling exhibit spans 375 feet in length and rises to seven and one-half feet tall at its apex. The Wall’s 140 panels contain the names of more than 58,000 service members. 267 names on The Wall are from Montana 21 of which were from right here in Butte. We have to have Volunteers maning The wall at all times. If you have the time and are willing to donate your time please click on the link below and sign up for one of the available time slots.
