The Southwest Kansas Truck Convoy is a powerful event that brings together truckers, law enforcement, and the community to support Special Olympics Kansas athletes. This unique fundraiser showcases the trucking industry's dedication to inclusion and giving back.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025
Starting Location: Dodge City Kenworth (2830 East Trail Street)
Ending Location: Dodge City Civic Center (2100 1st Ave)
Registration: Begins at 5:30 PM
Convoy Start Time: 6:30 PM
Truckers and drivers from across the region will join in a police-escorted convoy through Dodge City, demonstrating their support for Special Olympics athletes. Upon arrival at the Dodge City Civic Center, participants and supporters can enjoy an evening of entertainment, including dinner, an auction, and a special appearance by the Southwest Kansas Independent Lucha Libre Wrestlers.
Participation Fees:
Trucks with five or more wheels: $100
Vehicles with four or fewer wheels: $50
All vehicles must be road safe to participate
Evening Schedule at the Civic Center:
7:00 PM: Trucks arrive at the finish line
7:00 PM: Dinner, auction, and live entertainment
All proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics Kansas, helping provide opportunities for athletes to train, compete, and develop leadership skills.
