Dear OT Practitioners,Did you know that an estimated 80 million people with disabilities in developing countries need a wheelchair but cannot get one on their own? Without mobility, they may remain confined to their homes, hindered from getting an education or making a living. A new wheelchair would give them a renewed hope and freedom.
The IOTA was made aware that the Idaho State University MOT Student Association with fellow ISU physical therapy students and community members were partnering with Fleet Feet Boise to host a Move for Mobility 5K event on Friday, April 11th starting/finishing at Payette Brewing, to fundraise and provide those new wheelchairs to individuals in developing countries.
We therefore thought that for celebrating OT Month in April in the IOTA Southwest District, this year, we could do so much more by joining them with our very own IOTA SW Region Team!
Join your fellow OT Practitioners, including IOTA President Megan Doyle and IOTA Southwest District Representative Hilary Sauder, who are passionate about Free Wheelchair Mission and providing the transforming gift of mobility to those living with disabilities in developing countries. Join us April 11th at Payette Brewing to Celebrate Occupational Therapy Month and Register for the 5K, sponsored by Fleet Feet of Treasure Valley, or simply come and enjoy a festive evening and support us as we move to provide the transforming gift of mobility. All who register by March 28th will receive a free T-Shirt.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AN IOTA MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL!
THERE IS NO COST TO REGISTER AND PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT.

5K Details: On Friday, April 11th JOIN US at Payette Brewing Co in BOISE no later than 5:45pm for a 6pm start time. Shirt pick-up and sign in opens at 5:30pm. Look for the Fleet Feet Arch. We will set up a 5K route and you are welcome to run, roll, walk, or mosey any distance!
Please feel free to bring your non-OTP family members and friends to join, including your dogs.
