Come and see, close up, the southern hemisphere's largest private car collection - and imagine them on the road.
Set in 6 hectares of grounds, the purpose-built building includes a 6000 square metre exhibition hall, engineering workshop, gift shop and small café. The building also incorporates the 474-seat Southward Theatre, which features the 1929 Wurlitzer Unit Orchestra theatre organ that was originally installed in the Civic Theatre in Auckland.
The museum is the southern hemisphere's largest private car collection - with over 400 vehicles, planes, vintage tools, bicycles and fire engines. The facility also incorporates a number of facilities including a gift shop and an in-house coffee shop.
