About this Event
Sustainable Sewing Session: Basic Repair Workshop
Give your clothes – and your skills – a second chance! Join us for our Basic Repair Workshop, where we’ll explore simple techniques to mend and maintain garments, reducing textile waste and extending the life of the clothes we love.
Bring your own sewing machine if you have one, or learn essential hand-sewing skills with us – no experience required. You’re welcome to bring your own items to repair, but we’ll also provide garments in need of care, sent from Southport Christmas Shelter. Together, we’ll restore these pieces so they can be redistributed to vulnerable members of our community, maximising the positive impact of our time and creativity.
This is more than a workshop – it’s a chance to connect, share stories, and make a real difference. Let’s stitch sustainability and kindness into every seam.
