Bigger than ever, Southover Open Gardens, is back for 2024: we have 18 gardens ready for you to explore.About this Event
Southover Open Gardens is back and blooming again for 2024 with a trail of gardens for you to explore in Lewes on Sunday June 9th from 2pm – 5pm.
The event is hosted by us, Southover Bonfire Society, and is raising funds to buy some of the fireworks Lewes is famous for. There are more gardens than ever before: 18 in total, including several new ones, from large traditional English spaces to those that are smaller, or with a more contemporary feel.
Entry is by ticket only at £6 per person, kids under 16 go free.
There are three ways of buying tickets:
- In advance, online from Eventbrite. Garden map will be emailed to you not less than 2 days before the event. If you are unable to print or access the map prior to the event, head to one of our pop-up SBS ticket sales points on the day, show us your Eventbrite ticket and collect a map. Maps can be collected from 1:30pm on event day.
- On the day you can buy tickets (with the map) from sales points around Southover, which will be open from 1.30pm. Pop-up SBS ticket sales points located at > (1) 24 Southover High Street (opposite Swan Inn) > (2) bottom of Keere Street > (3) Holbrook, Rotten Row (near High Street/ bottleneck) > (4) vacinity, Southover War Memorial, opposite St James Street.
- You can also buy tickets (with the map) from local outlets, 21st May 2024 onwards:

St Pancras Stores, Barber Court, St Pancras Road, Lewes, BN7 1JQ (open all week but only from 7.30am-1.30pm on Sundays);
Lewes Tourist Information, 6 High St, Lewes BN7 2AD (open Mon-Fri 9.30am-4.30pm, Saturday 10am-2pm, closed Sundays).
