Join Southern Tier Actors Read as they bring 3 performances of “Trumbo” to the Phelps Mansion Museum.Shows are Friday November 14th and Saturday November 15th at 7:30pm and Sunday November 16th at 2pm.

“Trumbo” tells the powerful story of Dalton Trumbo, who was blacklisted during the McCarthy era for refusing to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) about his political beliefs and alleged Communist affiliations.
The play draws directly from Trumbo’s personal letters, revealing his wit, defiance, and resilience as he navigates the consequences of being blacklisted—losing his job, working under pseudonyms, and watching his friends suffer similar fates. Despite this, Trumbo continued to write and even won two Academy Awards under assumed names.
