Southern Komfort Brass Band at Martin's Downtown

Founded in 2010, the Jackson (MS)-based Southern Komfort Brass Band brought together 7 musicians who quickly discovered their niche - New Orleans-style street jazz with a unique Mississippi twist. Countless thousands have traveled to New Orleans to hear the likes of Dirty Dozen, Rebirth , Soul Rebels, Hot 8 and Lil' Rascals Brass Bands.
Southern Komfort Brass Band presents a live show that focuses on traditional Brass Band standards, originals by the aforementioned groups, and Southern Komfort originals as well as special arrangements of popular blues, jazz and R&B tunes. This party band has expanded their line-up to include up to 9 musicians. Their act is fast, fun and never fails to get their audiences singing, dancing and occasionally forming second-lines.
