From classic hymns to baptism, it's a Sunday full of celebration on Sunday, September 21st, West Edgecombe Baptist Church will host a special event we’re calling Southern Fried Sunday—and you don’t want to miss it.
A Celebration of the Past
We’re honoring the generations who came before us by embracing the spirit of “the good old days.” Everyone is invited to dress in attire from years past—ladies, bring out your vintage dresses, hats, gloves and aprons; gentlemen, dust off your hats, suspenders, or bow ties. Together, we’ll create a day filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of nostalgia.
A Meal to Remember:
Of course, it wouldn’t be Southern Fried Sunday without a meal worth gathering for! After worship, we’ll enjoy a delicious catered Southern lunch by Debra Dail (mother of the Farmer & the Dail out of Snow Hill).
Here’s the menu:
Crispy homemade fried chicken
Classic chicken salad
Fresh green beans, butterbeans, and corn
Creamy potato salad
Soft, warm bread
And for dessert: your choice of homemade banana pudding or homemade chocolate cake
Whether you dine in with us or prefer a take-out plate, you’ll be blessed with some of the best cooking eastern North Carolina has to offer.
