A.K. Smiley Public Library’s Southern California in Film series continues in 2024 with a new selection of movies that could only have been made in SoCal! From masterworks featuring Buster Keaton, James Dean, Natalie Wood, Humphrey Bogart, and Faye Dunaway, to classics starring Eddie Murphy, Annette Funicello, and Keanu Reeves, the motion pictures on the docket for 2024 are a great representation of how the region and its history have been memorialized on film. Screenings are free and open to the public! Films will be screened at 2pm in the Contemporary Club. Registration is requested, but not required. Check the library’s website for registration information at the start of each month. Not all films are suitable for all audiences.
