Art in a Changing Wales: Challenges and Choices Ahead
We’re delighted to welcome Geinor Styles, Artistic Director of Theatr na nÓg — one of Wales’ most respected theatre companies. Geinor has led the organisation since 1998, directing over 30 productions and championing bold, imaginative storytelling that has toured across Wales, the UK, and internationally. Her work spans classic adaptations and new Welsh writing, with a strong focus on accessibility, community engagement, and creative ambition.
Drawing on Theatr na nÓg’s powerful mission to ignite the imagination of a nation — and following the company’s recent 40-year milestone — Geinor will reflect on:
her role as Artistic Director
the creative work of Theatr na nÓg
what the next 40 years could look like for Welsh theatre
how we continue to ignite the imagination of a nation in an evolving cultural landscape
This will be followed by Q&A with members.

Rydym yn falch iawn o groesawu Geinor Styles, Cyfarwyddwr Artistig Theatr na nÓg — un o gwmnïau theatr mwyaf parchus Cymru. Mae Geinor wedi arwain y sefydliad ers 1998, gan gyfarwyddo dros 30 o gynyrchiadau ac yn hyrwyddo adrodd straeon beiddgar a dychmygus sydd wedi teithio ar draws Cymru, y DU ac yn rhyngwladol. Mae ei gwaith yn cynnwys addasiadau clasurol a gwaith newydd Cymreig, gyda ffocws cryf ar hygyrchedd, ymgysylltu cymunedol ac uchelgais greadigol.
Gan dynnu ar genhadaeth bwerus Theatr na nÓg i “gynnau dychymyg cenedl” — ac yn dilyn carreg filltir 40 mlynedd y cwmni yn ddiweddar — bydd Geinor yn myfyrio ar:
