With a distinguished career spanning over 28 years in the field of IT and cybersecurity, Ali Chinwala brings a wealth of expertise and hands-on experience to the realm of digital protection. His journey began at Schlumberger, where he honed his skills and understanding of the intricate landscape of cybersecurity. Holding a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s in cybersecurity from the University of Houston, he has continuously sought to expand his knowledge and stay at the forefront of industry advancements. Furthermore, Ali has the esteemed privilege of contributing as an instructor for cybersecurity courses at Lone Star Community College.
Ali is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a comprehensive background in information security, cloud infrastructure, and security architecture. His journey has led him through extensive engagements in key domains, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Information Protection, Thales HSM, Operation Management, Project Management, and Solution Architecture.
Within the sphere of engineering and security, ali stands as a proficient specialist adept in areas such as identity and access management, data security, cryptography, penetration testing, and meticulous adherence to a spectrum of cybersecurity standards encompassing security frameworks and compliance regulations like NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 1, and SOC 2. His proficiency extends to domains like secret management, cloud security, and IT service management.
Ali is uniquely able to discern and effectively communicate intricate information security concepts and practices, bridging the gap between technical intricacies and the needs of business stakeholders, Cloud Governance teams, and IT professionals. Ali fosters knowledge dissemination by leading training sessions and technical forums. Ali orchestrates technical discussions, webinars, and immersive, hands-on security training as the cloud computing leader.
