The South Sound Studio Tour is a free self-guided tour of studios and artists throughout Olympia, Tumwater and Lacey. I am being hosted by Marion Pollmann, in her gorgeous Boston Harbor cottage studio. Marion creates beautiful ceramics which are both art and functional and she also does encaustic paintings. Melody Shaw, a local painter, will also be at Marion’s studio. All of us will have work for sale.On the Sunday, I’ll be demonstrating how I work with fine silver precious metal clay including torch firing, adding on bails or ear wires, burnishing and adding patina.
