Welcome to the South Island Latin Championship 2025, the competition that brings together the best Latin Dancers the South Island has to offer!!Donna and Warren Frost are pleased to invite all South Island Latin dancers to the 22th year of this competition to be held at The Shed Theatre, Addington.
Categories for 2025 include:
- Freestyle Categories in Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba,
- Jack & Jill Categories in Salsa and Bachata
- Choreographed couples in all Latin Styles
- Adult Latin & Salsa Solos
- Adult Amateur and Pro-Am Duets
- Youth Salsa & Latin Solos and Duets
- Youth Salsa & Latin Shine Teams
- Team Shines and Team Couples in both Salsa & Latin
- Latin Showcase Teams
Event times:
Doors open 1:30pm
Freestyle Sections start @ 2pm followed by Youth and Choreographed sections.

- Youth Competitors - $15 per person per category (up to $60)
- Adult Competitors - $30 per person per category (up to $130)
Spectators tickets coming soon...
- Children (under 16 years) - $15
- Students (with valid ID) - $20
- Adults - $25
