About this Event
An insight into the history of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC), its uses and the risks associated with RAAC following its life expectancy. Having worked closely with the NHS of the past five years at Leighton hospital providing CDM Principal Designer and Health and Safety support to the Trust, I will highlight the different types of methods we have utilised to highlight the condition of the planks, what propping or other methods of support have been used, along with what safety measures have been implemented to ensure patients’ safety is maintained and the hospital remains operatorial during the remediation works.
Sean has worked closely with the hospital to effectively manage the risks arising from RAAC, whilst ensuring that the hospital remains fully operational throughout. An intersting and challenging project.
