The South Bend-Elkhart Bird Alliance's next membership meeting will be Sunday, September 14th at 2:00 PM inside the Rum Village Park nature center in South Bend. The speaker will be Ryan Skinner, owner of RAW Sustainable Living, which produces high-quality worm castings and helps others get started with composting by using worms in their own homes. A full-time graphic designer by trade, Ryan passionately says that his “journey into worm farming began as a simple effort to grow healthier, more affordable food for my family. What started as a few small worm bins in the garage quickly grew into something bigger”. Find out what it takes to become your own “worm farmer” by recycling all your kitchen scraps! Membership meetings are always open to the public. There is no cost to attend.
