About this Event
If you identify as a South Asian woman, then this one’s for you! We're building a community that you can lean on and in which you can explore your experiences as a South Asian woman in a safe environment.
For our last meetup of the year we are hosting a cute picnic at Princes Park Picnic (meet at the top of Park st/Royal Parade by the fountain/bathrooms - see attached image)!
What to bring: Something you'd like to eat/to share and something to sit on.
This is NOT therapy. It is a peer led and run community support group.
We meet on the last Sundays or Saturday morning of every month (alternating)! The intention is for this space to help us reconnect with our South Asian communities, come together, listen, validate and learn from each others' lived experiences; in a ZERO judgement, cozy environment. There are no age limits as we celebrate the importance of having different perspectives in our discussions. So, feel free to bring a friend or a family member - the more the merrier.
Meet-ups are free! We just ask that each individual registers ASAP so we can prepare.
And don't worry, we have planned activities to help with the awkwardness of meeting new people! Hope to see you all there!
