Join us for our charity fundraiser, an Architectural Sketching Tour, to help raise money for an exciting Design Build project in Limpopo, South Africa!
We will be exploring the fantastic historical sites of East London while pausing to sketch, chat, and take in the sights. You will be guided by two local architectural designers who will offer sketching tips and tricks along the way.
Our walk will take approximately 1.5 hours, starting at Monument station. We will walk to St Dunstan's in the East where we will take in the peaceful beauty of the Grade 1 listed building from 1100s. From here, we will head on down to the Thames for some great sights of the city skyline, and Tower Bridge. After pausing at the infamous Tower of London, we will finally head through to St. Kathryn's docks surrounded by boats and warehouses .
To secure your tickets, you can make a minimum donation of £10pp which will directly support a philanthropic Creche build in the Limpopo region of South Africa in April this year. The Creche build project is in partnership with Education Africa, Design Build Studio, Studio8fold, Thusanang Trust, and The University of Nottingham. The Design Build Studio has been building Creche's for over a decade within the region where over 2,000 children have been enrolled in a crèche, creating jobs for locals within these schools and allowing parents to return to work! All donations will go towards supporting the build, securing materials, and supporting volunteers during the build process!
