Upon arrival at the OR Tambo Johannesburg Airport, the group will be greeted, welcomed, and then transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure to relax after the long flight. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

NOV 08 FULL DAY SOWETO & APARTHEID MUSEUM

After breakfast take a tour to Soweto with a township lunch at Sakhumzi’s Restaurant. SOWETO, an acronym for South Western Township, is the largest Black residential area in South Africa that has a population of more than 3.5 Million, who despite living in crowded and chaotic conditions, have a tangible sense of community. This tour gives you an opportunity to interact with the local residents of the township and ask questions that have been on your mind - such as how life was under apartheid, how life is now, questions on the economy, and on current events. Visit the Hector Pieterson Museum , Regina Mundi Church and have a photo stop outside Mandela House . Township food, although simply delicious. There’s something about its simplicity and communal serving that makes you feel like you are not just experiencing good food, but you are a part of the community too. You will have lunch at Sakhumzi’s Restaurant . Brimming with good cheer, Sakhumzi is popular for its daily lunch buffets. Patrons spill onto the street tables and mingle joyfully with 3 passers-by. Expect African staples such as mutton stew, umleqwa (traditional-style steamed chicken) and mealie pap as well as more conventional burgers and steaks.
After lunch, proceed to the Apartheid Museum . This is an interactive voyage of discovery, one which takes you from the dark days of ‘whites only’ privilege, through to Nelson Mandela’s historic release. The Apartheid Museum is a multimedia experience, with documentary film snippets, texts, sound clips and live accounts, recapturing life in the dark days of South Africa. It’s a fascinating tour, filled with tales of bravery and sadness, but ultimately, it’s a story with the right ending. Soweto is unlike a suburb you’ve ever seen or been to, yet the history of struggle encapsulated here is a cornerstone of the South African Story.
Return to your hotel for leisure and overnight.

NOV 09 PILANESBURG NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, transfer to Pilanesburg national park for a full day tour. Pilanesburg is located about 1 hour 30mins from Johannesburg, South Africa, it is home to over 40 mammal species, is an untamed and tranquil Eden, rich in wildlife and timeless beauty. Sought after Big Five games can be viewed in this vast wilderness and each lodge offers a haven of luxury and indulgence. Inspirational game drives and walking safaris are guided by superb rangers and trackers, many of whom are native to the land and intimately acquainted with its cultural traditions. Enjoy a 3 hour game drive lunch at Bakubung Lodge then return to Johannesburg.

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of your hotel, then transfer to Johannesburg OR Tambo airport for flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel, then check out, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cape Town. On arrival at Cape Town airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Cape Town is located in the southwest corner of South Africa near the Cape of Good Hope. With its unrivalled natural beauty, Cape Town is certainly a highlight of Southern Africa. Originally intended as a supply station for Dutch ships en route to Eastern Africa, India and the Far East, by 1652, Cape Town had become
the first permanent European settlement in South Africa. As time passed other settlements were created, yet the Cape Colony looked to Cape Town as its economic and cultural hub. With its majestic Table Mountain backdrop, Cape Town is one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in the world; an eclectic mix of architectural styles
reflects the tastes and dictates of the past and the more functional demands of the 20th Century.

NOV 13 FULL DAY ROBBEN ISLAND, CAPE TOWN CITY W/TABLE MOUNTAIN
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the V & A Waterfront and walk to the ferry terminal with the guide for your tour to Robben Island. Embark on your 3 ½ hour tour of Robben Island. Robben Island needs no introduction with regards to the significance of its place in South Africa’s and indeed the world’s history. You will have a guided tour and see where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of the 27 years of his incarceration imprisoned on the island. After the tour, return to the V&A waterfront for lunch on your own.
Take the cable car up to the summit of the legendary Table Mountain
(weather dependent) for a view of the city and the surrounding layout of the southernmost tip of Africa. Spend time up there exploring. You can hit one of three hiking trails that start at the Upper Cable Station and explore the summit further. Table Mountain is part of a World Heritage Site, an important part of the Cape Floristic Region and the single richest floristic area in the world. There is a lot of fynbos vegetation on the mountain, with over 1 460 different species of plants. There are also plenty of daisies, lizards, insects and birdlife to be seen. You can take one of the audio tours, join a guided walk, grab a coffee or beverage at the cafe or do some shopping at the gift shop. Whatever you decide, you will enjoy the view. This is a great spot to sit and soak up the commanding 360-degree views of Cape Town, Table Bay, the nearby peaks of the surrounding mountains and the rest of the Table Mountain National Park, in which the Cableway is situated. You will also enjoy a half-day orientation tour of Cape Town . You will see iconic buildings, snatches of history, and experience the uniqueness of this city. Drive past the country’s oldest building, the Castle, and a short distance away, the Company Gardens, both historically fascinating and well conserved. Our drive continues past the Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the Slave Lodge; you will sense the depth of history via their distinctive architecture. Colonial then changes
to colourful, as you move up the cobblestoned hills to the Malay Quarter, and marvel at the ice-cream colors of the quaint Bo-Kaap homes. You would also visit District six museum, a memorial which contains maps, photographs of district six which was destroyed in the 1960’s by the apartheid nationalist government.
Return to the hotel for the rest of the day at leisure.
NOV 14 HALF DAY WINELANDS TOUR & DINNER
After breakfast, depart for a day tour of the beautiful winelands of the Western Cape. Visit the charming university town of Stellenbosch . Stellenbosch is a university town surrounded by the vineyards of the Cape Winelands and the mountainous nature reserves of Jonkershoek and Simonsberg. The town's oak-shaded streets
are lined with cafes, boutiques and art galleries. Cape Dutch architecture gives a 6 sense of South Africa's Dutch colonial history. You would visit a wine estate where you will have wine tasting and enjoy lunch on your own account. After lunch, you will take an orientation tour of Stellenbosch before returning to your hotel in Cape Town. In the evening, you will be having dinner at the Gold restaurant where you get to enjoy authentic South African food and African drumming . Gold Restaurant is a unique African restaurant in the heart of Cape Town. An evening here begins with a djembe drumming session, followed by a hand-washing ceremony and afterwards, you will tuck into the set 3-course meal consisting of 14 ‘taster dishes’. This dining experience can best be described as a taste safari
that will transport you from Table Mountain to Timbuktu. This culinary
experience is accompanied by a unique interactive traditional entertainment. Return to the hotel for the rest of the day at leisure.
