About this Event
Join us at Pull Caffe for an immersive, hands-on bread baking class from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Our rustic sourdough bread class is perfect for beginners and experts alike, with a focus on creating artisan bread using our authentic, hand-built, wood-fired brick oven. Throughout the six-hour class, owner and 20-year wood-fired professional Todd Millar will guide you through mixing, folding, shaping, and wood fired baking techniques to help you discover your inner baker.
In the morning, we'll begin with an orientation that includes hand-pulled cappuccinos featuring Pull Caffe's own wood-roasted coffee. For lunch, we'll serve a delicious homemade wood-roasted tomato bisque soup, accompanied by our wood-fired sourdough grilled bread and a seasonal green salad. And for dessert, indulge in our homemade Pull Caffe maple espresso gelato. At the end of the day, we'll serve an artisan hand sliced charcuterie sliced cured meat, and a local red wine, coffee or mineral water.
Our working commercial bakery and coffee roastery are located in the majestic mountains, just one hour from PDX and 30 minutes from Vancouver. During the class, you'll have the opportunity to bake bread in our wood-fired brick oven and take home two loaves of your own fresh baked sourdough bread and two loaves of unbaked loaves to take home and bake the following day. Plus a live sourdough starter with the Masterclass skills to reproduce your own fresh baked sourdough at home!
