Join Traci Warren of House Bread Sweet and Sourdough for a beginner basics workshop Thursday, February 20th at 6:30pm at The Whimsical Cookie studio 37 Bank Street Suite 11 in New Albany.
In this 2 hour beginner level class, we will demystify the entire process step-by-step. You’ll learn everything you need to know to bake your own sourdough without all the trial and error, and wasted loaves taught by an experienced cottage baker. Enroll with friend and double your fun
SOURDOUGH 101 - Beginner Basics
Participants will learn how to:
🍞Make and maintain a starter
🍞Measure by weight
🍞Prepare a base dough recipe
🍞Properly stretch & fold dough
🍞Effectively shape & score dough
🍞How to add inclusions to dough
🍞Fit the sourdough schedule into busy life
What to Expect:
Prior to class you will receive an email including class details, starter recipe guide, master recipe, baking timeline, and supply list with links. During class, you’ll have the opportunity to practice hands-on making, stretching, and folding dough. Plenty of time for Q&A. Video support with instructor for 30 days from class date.
