Join local sound therapist & decolonial student, James Lamar, for a 90-minute evening of reflection, sound, and re-connection to Earth. The gathering will open with a 15-minute dharma talk on the practice of stewardship—returning to right relationship with the land through repair, reciprocity and care. Using the example of crystal singing bowls, which are born from the Earth, we will explore what it means to honor and tend to the land beneath our feet. From there, participants will be guided into a restorative sound experience, creating space to reflect on their own relationship to the places they inhabit and the ways we can live more harmoniously with the natural world, our Mother.
This event is both a call back to the Earth and an offering to the land. In support of nature conservation, 50% of proceeds will be donated to the Lewisburg-based non-profit Merrill W. Linn Land & Waterways Conservancy, an organization dedicated to the protection and stewardship of our region’s land and waterways.
James will be sharing the medicine & teachings from his beloved teacher, Dra. Rosales Meza—not as an expert or “authority”, but as a fellow human sharing the planet with everyone & all living beings.
Dress comfortably for floor sitting, supported by mats, bolsters and blankets for a restful and intention-filled evening.
