INSTANT COMPOSITION BETWEEN MOVEMENT AND SOUND
Workshop with the SCANT TRIO and LIOR OPHIR
In this workshop we wish to stimulate and explore the ability of movement within collective sound beyond its constructions, space, listening, sharing, awareness of the body in the physical space and in the "space of sound".
Methods and approaches to dance/movement will be applied in the presence of improvised music. Instant composition involving movement and sound will be created in the present moment, through the sense of listening, rhythms, presence and absence, the spatial perception of sound and its interpretation in the body.
We will also use the method of "conduction" (a technique pioneered by musician and composer Butch Morris and practiced by the London Improvisers Orchestra of which Adrian Northover has been a member since 2000 and Magliocchi is one of the collaborators).
At the end of the workshop there will be a demonstration (“open studio”) conducted together with the participants, open to the public.
The workshop is proposed to dancers, movers and musicians with at least basic knowledge and experience, curiosity and listening skills.

SUONI IN MOVIMENTO
COMPOSIZIONE ISTANTANEA TRA MOVIMENTO E SUONO
Workshop con SCANT TRIO e LIOR OPHIR
In questo workshop vogliamo stimolare ed esplorare la capacità di movimento all'interno del suono collettivo al di là della sua costruzione, lo spazio, l’ascolto, la condivisione, la consapevolezza del corpo nello spazio fisico e nello "spazio del suono".
Diversi metodi e approcci alla danza/movimento saranno applicati in presenza di musica improvvisata. La composizione istantanea che coinvolge movimento e suono sarà creata nel momento presente, attraverso il senso dell'ascolto, i ritmi, presenza e assenza, la percezione spaziale del suono e la sua interpretazione nel corpo.
Utilizzeremo anche il metodo della "conduction" (una tecnica sperimentata dal musicista e compositore Butch Morris e praticata dalla London Improvisers Orchestra di cui Adrian Northover è membro dal 2000 e di cui Magliocchi è uno dei collaboratori).
Alla fine del workshop ci sarà una dimostrazione ("open studio") condotta insieme ai partecipanti, aperta al pubblico.
Il workshop è aperto a danzatori, musicisti e persone con almeno una esperienza di base, curiosità e capacità di ascolto.
