Sounds for the Southwest: Music for a Cleaner Coast
Join us for a day of music and community as we celebrate 26 years of protecting Tasmania’s marine life and stunning coastlines from plastic pollution, and raise funds for the South West Marine Debris Clean Up!
28th February 2026
2pm-10:30pm+
Southport Community Centre, 1.5hrs south of Hobart
Tickets from $25
Joining us all the way from Western Australia is Jack Davies, as part of his national tour for his recently released album, 'A Gust of Wind Knocks off My Hat'.
From closer to home we have Jethro Pickett, Miah Aplin band, Thomas Skalicky band, Constantina and the Constant Divas, Claudie Joy, and Willi G.
This event is strictly no BYO. We will have a bar set up with delicious beers, ciders and wines, as well as plenty of non-alcoholic options too. Please feel free to bring your own food, we will also have some snack and dinner options available, including offerings from renowned sushi chef and beloved Cleanup member, Masaaki.
This is an all ages event; children are welcome under supervision of an adult/guardian. Unfortunately no pets are allowed (service animals are of course always welcome).
Every dollar raised goes a long way in supporting our clean-up efforts. The funds will help cover essential costs like fuel for our boats, supplies for beach cleaning, and food for our hardworking volunteers as we navigate the stunning yet challenging waters and beaches of Tasmania’s Southwest.
We are currently working out approval for overnight camping at the venue and will update ticket holders asap when this is sorted! Otherwise if you need somewhere to stay, the Southport Caravan Park is just down the road and we will be happy to give you a ride there at the end of the night. Bookings for camping start at just $10. They have powered sites and other accommodation available too. Find more info here
We acknowledge that this event will be held on the stolen lands of the Lyluequonny people, who gathered on this land for thousands of generations sharing music, food, and stories. We pay our respects to all Lyluequonny and Palawa elders, past and present.
