🎤 Mousumi Datta is a vocalist and bassist working at the intersection of Indian classical music and contemporary fusion. Trained in Khayal, she brings a strong classical foundation into sound shaped by jazz, funk, pop, and semi-classical forms like Thumri, Ghazal, and Dadra. Her music moves between melodic detail and groove-led arrangements, with voice and bass in constant conversation. Drawing from Bengali musical traditions and global influences, her work feels rooted, expressive, and current.
