Soundography
A spacetime mapping experiment

Introducing the work | Metonymy
This Installation brings into play a sensuous multitude, the peculiarities of everydayness: soundographies, olfactographies, tasteographies, and tactileographies; maps of the senses, maps of behaviour, maps of thinking, believing, acting and aching. The senses, usually snared in dangerous and treacherous routines, railroaded into obeying paths of social conduct, are provoked, awakened by this mapping experiment.
By entering the space you are modifying the relationship between the body and the nonbody: inward and outward, space and time, timelines and chronologies, emplacement and displacement. Moreover you are stipulating a pact, an agreement with the space without your knowing; you are bringing your own cartography into being, you are changing the path, intermezzo in the spacetime you/we float in.
The Installation generates corporeal cartographies, incorporeal ephemeralities, erratic memories, rhizomatic short-circuit, fallen idols, automatas, phantasmic simulacra.
This work, specifically devoted to sound and music, is the last episode of a polyptych, part of a three years' doctoral research investigating a phenomenology of time through sense amplification: the previous practice outcomes were focused on film, dance, and literature.
