Concert Description

In partnership with TO Live and National accessArts Centre, Xenia Concerts is proud to present the world premiere of sound.colLAB! The highlight of this event is the premiere of Seven Miniatures, a new work for string quartet and electronics by a group of seven composers who self-identify as neurodivergent. The concert will last about one hour, and also includes works by Augusta Read Thomas, Mykola Lysenko, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Franz Joseph Haydn.

This concert is designed to be autism- and neurodiversity-friendly, and Meridian Hall is a wheelchair accessible venue. Xenia Concerts welcomes all listeners.

About Sound.colLAB

The premiere of sound.colLAB is the result of a two-year partnership between Xenia Concerts and the National accessArts Centre. Together, we brought together a group of neurodivergent participants with a professional composer and string quartet to create a co-composed piece of music.
