SOUND THERAPY WEEKEND
Liam wishes to welcome everyone to a wonderfully relaxing early Summer weekend wellness break - sound therapy retreat - where guests will not only enjoy magical Soundbaths and meditations and a joyful sing-a-long kirtan/chant session, but also get an opportunity to be introduced to the deeply healing Shamanic Journeying, not forgetting a gentle introduction to Chi Gung too, plus time to connect with and explore Nature in a beautiful setting with delicious vegan food and guided walks included
Itinerary/Schedule:
Friday - Arrival from 4pm
Soup 4.30pm
Opening Circle - 6pm
Dinner 6.30pm
Soundbath (for deep sleep) - 8pm - 9.30pm
Saturday - Herbal Teas
Introduction to Shamanic Journeying - 8am - 10am
Shamanic Journeying is a beautiful ancient spiritual practice, not unlike lucid dreaming, where you learn to use your imagination, while listening to the beats of a drum, to connect with a spirit guide or power animal to ask for help, healing, guidance or wisdom
Bring a journal and pen to write down your experiences (journals and pens provided)
Brunch 10.30am
Guided Walk to Carlingford 1pm arrive 2.45
Ramble round Carlingford 1hr 30 minutes (bring cash for fab coffee and cake at Wildwood outdoor cafe)
courtesy taxi back to base
Dinner 6.30pm
Soundbath followed by Kirtan/Sing/Chant A-long - 8pm-10pm
Kirtan is a beautiful, joyful, fun and heart-opening opportunity to sing a long with mantras and healing chants from around the world (no experience needed, no singing ability needed, all the chants can be spoken both aloud and to yourself too - whatever feels right - no pressure, only joy)

Guided Meditation Walk in Nature 8am

Chi Gung (10.30am - 11am)(no experience needed for this gentle movement practice - Liam discovered the joy of Chi Gung during the pandemic and the beautiful healing of the slow easy movements that are inspired by the rhythms of Nature)
Guided Sound Meditation (sacred solfeggio pipes) followed by a gentle Gong Bath (11am - 12.30)

What to Expect - A Sound Bath is a beautiful and powerful - lying down with your eyes closed - fully immersive sonic acoustic meditation that enables deep relaxation and emotional release through immersion in - not water - but the sound vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, rattles, drums, chimes, pipes, mantras and other traditional world and sacred ancient instruments. No experience or physical requirements needed - All you need do is show up with a mat, blanket, open mind and open heart; and be warmly welcomed to a peaceful place ??
Sound therapy is a wonderfully relaxing and therapeutic holistic healing modality whose
benefits include: reducing stress, worry, anger, frustration, burn out,
fatigue; and boosting energy, concentration and creativity
About the Teacher:
Liam Oragh is a professional experienced Sound Therapist, Retreat Leader and award-winning Singer-Songwriter who has developed a deep passion for Sound Healing. He regularly hosts and performs Sound Healing Sessions/Soundbaths, Retreats, Meditations, Yoga studio workshops and Events throughout Dublin, Leinster and Ireland both indoors and outdoors, with his Soundbath most recently added to the bill at The Irish Musuem of Modern Art (IMMA) in The Royal Hospital Kilmainham as part of their Outdoor Evening Events Summer programmes 2021 and he was part of the kicking off of IMMA Outdoor Events on the Eve of Wellfest 2022; he also co-hosted a Soundhealing and Songwriting workshop as part of First Fortnight - Ireland's Mental Health in the Arts Festival 2022- and was also co host of the Celtic School of Soundhealing's Sound Therapy Chill out Zone Marquee as part of Sofft Nights Spirit of Folk Festival 2022 with Shamanism Ireland in Dunderry Park County Meath.
A graduate of The Bel Canto School of Singing (Alma Mater of Sinead O'Connor and Christy Dignam), The Celtic School of Soundhealing (Advanced diploma in Sound Therapy) and The Irish Centre for Shamanic Studies (Full Practitioner Certification) and a professional member of AOSTI (Association of Sound Therapists Ireland)- Liam's debut album 'Only too late if you're Dead' , inspired and influenced by the death of his older brother from cancer, won the Hotpress Pick-of-the-Fortnight Award on its release in 2012 and was followed by his mental health themed second album 'The Arguments against Insanity' which was launched with a headline gig in Whelans in 2017
