Austin Oversea Committee is hosting a Taiwan Culture Goodwill Mission event on September 27th, 2023, from 7 pm-9 pm in celebration of the National Day of Taiwan. The event will feature a performance by the Formosa Melody Music Center (FMMC), a renowned cultural delegation from Taiwan, titled "Sound of Taiwan." The performance will take place at the St. Andrew's Episcopal School - Dell Fine Arts Center (5901 Southwest Parkway) in Austin, Texas.

The Formosa Melody Music Center was established in Yilan County, Taiwan, in 1994. It has gained recognition and acclaim for its performances in various prestigious venues such as the National Concert Hall in Taiwan, as well as in countries including the United States, Europe, Japan, Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany, Africa, and Latvia. The center has participated in international events like the Asia-Pacific Chorus Art Festival, the Czech International Art Festival, and the Yilan International Art Festival.

The Formosa Melody Music Center received recognition and awards for its performances, including winning awards at the Adelaide Arts Festival in Australia. The center's efforts are focused on promoting Taiwanese culture and arts on a global scale.

The event's main focus is to showcase Taiwanese culture and arts to the world, with the support and participation of various organizations. Press conferences and ticket booking systems will be launched to promote and facilitate attendance at the event.

奧斯汀全僑委員會將於2023年9月27日, 晚上7點-9點舉辦臺灣文化訪問團活動，慶祝臺灣國慶。此次活動將由臺灣著名文化代表團「當代樂坊（FMMC）帶來主題為“讓世界聽見臺灣”的表演。演出將在德克薩斯州奧斯汀的聖安德魯聖公會學校戴爾美術中心（5901 Southwest Parkway）舉行。

「當代樂坊」於1994年在臺灣宜蘭縣成立，在臺灣國家音樂廳等多個著名場館以及美國、歐洲、日本、加拿大、法國、瑞士、德國、非洲和拉脫維亞。中心曾參加亞太合唱藝術節、捷克國際藝術節、宜蘭國際藝術節等國際活動。

「當代樂坊」因其表演而獲得認可和獎項，包括在澳大利亞阿德萊德藝術節上獲獎。該中心致力於在全球範圍內推廣臺灣文化和藝術。

這次活動的主要重點是在各組織的支持和參與下，向世界展示臺灣文化和藝術。將推出新聞發布會和門票預訂系統，以促進和便利參加活動。

This event aims to bridge cultures, celebrate diversity, and to showcase Taiwanese culture and arts, as well as promoting Taiwan’s visibility and democratic values.
