About the Sound Healer Facilitator:
Maria del Carmen Rodriguez, MBA, JP is a Certified Sound Healer, Practitioner of Sound and Vibrational Therapies, and Co-founder of SoulCare Love, LLC. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of Healing Sounds; Our Voices Talk Show and a Doctoral Student of Metaphysical Science in Natural Medicine. Maria del Carmen merges her deep-rooted ancestral wisdom with her extensive formal training to create safe, transformative spaces for healing and well-being.
As a dedicated sound healing practitioner, Maria del Carmen has witnessed firsthand the profound impact of sound therapy, helping individuals release emotional blockages, reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, enhance creativity, and cultivate overall wellness. She is committed to empowering clients to take an active role in their healing journey while providing compassionate guidance and support.
Her holistic practice is enriched by the wisdom passed down from her elders, who reside in the regal mountains of Maunabo, Puerto Rico. There, she gained an intimate understanding of nature’s rhythms, the earth’s pulse, and the sacred vibrations of sound. Maria del Carmen is also a trained Restorative Justice Peace Circle Mediator, a practice with deep Indigenous roots that fosters healing, reconciliation, and community reflection.
Maria del Carmen’s lived experiences shaped her work in profound ways. As a NICU mother and a survivor of maternal care discrimination that nearly cost her life, she understands trauma on a deep personal level. She endured emotional abuse, navigated the grief of losing a mother while she is still alive and grief of divorce. She’s embraced the necessity of Divine Feminine empowerment and learned the art of herbal healing from her elders. These experiences have led her to continue in specializing in ancestral and cultural healing, birth and death doula services, herbal antibiotic herbalist specialist and as a women's wellness practitioner. She is devoted to supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of women and girls throughout all stages of life.
Maria del Carmen has been widely recognized for her multifaceted contributions as a sound healer, community organizer, historical reenactment actress, talk show host, and advocate for women’s empowerment. Her honors include but not limited to 2018 100 Women of Color Award, recognizing contributions of women of color in business, education, entrepreneurship, entertainment, and government, 2019 Windsor Bridge-Builder Award, honoring outstanding contributions to human relations and equal opportunity, and Citations and Proclamations for exceptional community work. She serves in multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), New England Chapter, Vice President of Holistic Professionals of Color, New England Chapter, Board Member at the Afro Caribbean Culture Center and Art for the Soul Gallery, and former Vice President of the Windsor Junior Woman’s Club.
