SOUND HEALING DESCRIPTION: Sound is the purest language of the Universe. Every sacred text describes sound as the seed of creation, as creation forms. Frequency and vibration are our original language, and because we are Beings of sound and Light, these become incredibly powerful tools to in bringing us back to harmony and resonance.
Join Jaia as she offers an intentionally created soundscape to guide each recipient back to our natural state of Wellness in mind, heart, body, and expanding spirit through the use of her tools: The Crystal Tones Alchemy Singing Bowls, perfectly harmonized Tibetan Bowls, the soothing lullabies of the Hapi drum, the purity of the Koshi chimes, the heartbeat of the frame drum, the soothing sounds of the Ocean, and more!

ECSTATIC DANCE DESCRIPTION:
Ecstatic Dance is a freestyle dance that allows for the freedom to express our most authentic Self through dance in a judgment free zone. No partner or dance experience necessary. Light instruction will be given before the dance begins.
What to expect: The dance is done in a softly lit room to music that’s a blend of tribal/electronic/trance beats from around the world. The music follows the 5Rhythms as taught by Gabrielle Roth.
Facilitator: Charity Edwards
Charity has been facilitating Ecstatic Dances in the Knoxville & surrounding area festivals since 2010. Being a health coach, hoop dance & yoga instructor, she is well aware of the mind, body, spirit healing that can come from movement. Like Gabrielle says, “if you set people in motion, they will heal themselves.” Having danced at many Ecstatic Dances (Asheville, Cocoa Beach, Honolulu, Boulder, Costa Rica, etc) with her husband Eric, they decided to keep the Ecstatic Dance torch burning here in Knoxville. Dance (& hiking) have quite literally been the glue that’s held their marriage together for over 19yrs. They believe dance can be used as a form of prayer or offering to Source IF we can learn to silence the ego/mind chatter. If we can overcome that pesky buggar, ecstasy awaits!!
In order to create a sacred space for each person to drop into the experience, we ask that everyone arrive on time (see times above) & honor each other with NO talking during the dance.
Please dress modestly but comfortably and bring a water.
Drinks: we will have a non-alcoholic botanical bar set up serving @kava_koncoctions. These plant based drinks are known for their ability to promote relaxation and focus; a perfect compliment to dancing. Kratom drinks available (by prior request). Drinks: $5
”In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions: “When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?” ~ Gabrielle Roth
