7:00 BOARDING
Passengers enter and settle, announcements by flight crew.
7:30 TAKE-OFF
Meditation and take off into the sonic space.
7:30 - 9:00 IN-FLIGHT
Sound exploration with echo-poetic writing activations. A microphone will be available for use.
9:00 - 9:30 LANDING
Decrescendo to close.
SOUND FLIGHT FAQ
Q: Is this an open mic? Will there be a workshop?
A: While there is no “workshop” or “open mic” people will be able to generate writing and share it spontaneously. As people wander the room, engaging with writing activations on their own time, the mic will be open for people to share what is coming through for them on the page.
Q: Is the Starjammer the band playing?
A: Starjammer is the generator for the sound flight, piloted by Squiddius J. Madden. As sound is created, the sonic atmosphere expands, and we take off into the sound flight. Throughout the event, Squidds will pilot the generator for our sound flight to Planet: Disillusioned, elevating our sensory integration. A microphone will be available for use, inviting the community to contribute their poems, stories, sounds, and improvisations to the sonic space. Check out a video of the Starjammer in action here!
